New Shoes!!!!!! (!)

these are absolutely my dream shoes. I've wanted shoes like this as long as I can recall, and now I have them! Mine, all mine!!! I'm going to wear them absolutely everywhere!!! Well, probably not to the Widge's toddler class, that might be a bit much. As an aside, that green background is actually my bed sheet, what a useful color I picked!

Today the Widge has been angling for car ownership, doing all those responsable things kids do to try and convince mom that they're ready to drive. Things like washing the car:

Hair Bears

So I've been informed, recently, that my hair, viewed from behind, closely resembles the rear end of a bear. I've never actually studied the back of my head, nor am I especially familiar with ursine hindquarters, but I trust that someone, somewhere is (and I do not envy that individual). At any rate, I've decided that this bear business cannot continue, and I have therefore adjusted the textural quality of my hair. As you can see:

A Very Hokie Road Trip

So the Widge got to visit Uncle Nick, which pretty much resulted in all of us hearing Uncle Nick related babble, toddler-style:

"Saw Firetruck!"

"Saw a big bird!"

"Played Football!"

"Saw Uncle Nick! Uncle Nick lives school, play football! Hi Uncle Nick! Like Uncle Nick!"

All day today we heard "Uncle Nick, Uncle Nick, Uncle Nick!" Guess who the Widge's hero is.

I dug out a stump!

With help, of course. Its a much bigger and heavier stump than it looks. There are five more (!)

Somebody enjoyed the circus
